“RSA/ Shell Road Safety Goal Zero 2014” Campaign

Today, the second “RSA/ Shell Road Safety Goal Zero” competition, a large-scale road safety promotion campaign co-organised by Shell Hong Kong Limited and the Hong Kong Road Safety Association (RSA), was held to encourage public awareness of road safety and the importance of proper use of pedestrian crossing facilities.

The campaign attracted approximately 100 participating teams. The competition was conducted in the form of treasure hunt games, and required the participating teams to walk from Sheung Wan Shun Tak Centre to Wanchai Sun Hung Kai Centre, with treasure hunts at designated locations along the journey. What’s more, the participants were required to make good use of road crossing facilities without jaywalking, so as to complete the journey safely.

Frandy Chu, GM of Communications Department, Shell Hong Kong Limited, said at the opening ceremony of the “RSA/ Shell Road Safety Goal Zero” Campaign, “Shell Hong Kong deeply understands the importance of road safety to individuals, families and society. The ‘RSA/ Shell Road Safety Goal Zero’ Campaign co-organised with RSA is designed to encourage citizens to pay attention to road safety and make good use of pedestrian pass facilities. In this way, I hope we all can share the ‘Goal Zero’ vision with Shell Hong Kong and work together to deliver the ‘Road Safety Goal Zero’ objective.”
