Shell Hong Kong celebrates its 100th anniversary with senior citizens

More than 200 people, including Shell volunteers and participating senior citizens, attended the event.

During the celebration, the senior citizens shared their old stories with the volunteers. The organiser had also invited a local famous chef to prepare on site a traditional healthy dish for the participants. While enjoying the tasty dishes, the senior citizens were pleased to recollect their memories of their good old days. Shell volunteers also visited the singleton senior citizens in the district, giving them love and care.

Samson Lam, General Manager, Shell Gas (LPG) – Hong Kong and Macau, said, 「This year marks Shell Hong Kong’s 100th year of operations in Hong Kong. It is such a memorable time for all of us. I am glad that we have been trusted by our valuable customers. We hope to express our love and care to the community through the meaningful event held today. At the same time, we would like to raise the safety awareness of the public on using LPG. Our goal is to establish a healthy and beautiful living environment for all.」

Representative from Caritas Hong Kong also expressed the gratitude to Shell Hong Kong and its volunteers for their dedication.

「We will continue to organise activities related to health, safety and environment in order to make the environment a better place for the public.」 Samson added.
