The campaign attracted approximately 100 participating teams. The competition was conducted in the form of treasure hunt games, and required the participating teams to walk from Sheung Wan Shun Tak Centre to Wanchai Sun Hung Kai Centre, with treasure hunts at designated locations along the journey. What’s more, the participants were required to make good use of road crossing facilities without jaywalking, so as to complete the journey safely.

Frandy Chu, GM of Communications Department, Shell Hong Kong Limited, said at the opening ceremony of the “RSA/ Shell Road Safety Goal Zero” Campaign, “Shell Hong Kong deeply understands the importance of road safety to individuals, families and society. The ‘RSA/ Shell Road Safety Goal Zero’ Campaign co-organised with RSA is designed to encourage citizens to pay attention to road safety and make good use of pedestrian pass facilities. In this way, I hope we all can share the ‘Goal Zero’ vision with Shell Hong Kong and work together to deliver the ‘Road Safety Goal Zero’ objective.”

The Ip family, the champion team of the Parents-Children Class, said that this was their first participation in this campaign. Mrs. Ip said: “This campaign can not only strengthen children’s awareness of road safety, but also improve parent-child relationships, which is very meaningful indeed! What’s more, we all are overjoyed at being the winner team.”

Shell Hong Kong Limited has been working with RSA since 2012 to conduct a series of activities to promote road safety messages. The campaign is designed to raise citizens’ awareness of road safety and remind the public to target “Goal Zero”, so as to reduce the incidence of traffic accidents.
