Shell recognised as “HSBC Sustainable Business Partner” in HSBC Living Business Awards 2016

At Shell, we are committed to sustainable development. Sustainability is about doing business in a responsible way, allowing us to share the benefits with the communities in which we operate. This year, in recognition of our efforts in driving sustainable development amongst our partnerships, we have been named an “HSBC Sustainable Business Partner” in the “HSBC Living Business Programme”. The purpose of the HSBC Living Business Programme is to promote and recognise good corporate practices in employee engagement, community care and green initiatives among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong. HSBC Sustainable Business Partner award is in recognition of Shell’s efforts and achievements in promoting best practices and driving sustainable development through our partnerships. We have nominated six business partners participating in the programme this year.  

Taking the lead to showcase sustainability excellence, Shell not only encouraged our LPG cylinder distributors and business partners to participate in the HSBC Living Business Programme but also assisted six business partners with their applications and proactively followed up on the stringent assessment and judging process. We are delighted to attend the HSBC Living Business Awards Presentation Ceremony 2016 in November where we not only received appreciation for being an HSBC Sustainable Business Partner, but also witnessed the remarkable achievements of our business partners, Make The Right Call and Sze Wo Chaan Gas Company Limited. Make The Right Call won the Certificate of Merit in the Community Engagement Award category while Sze Wo Chaan Gas Company Limited was honoured with the Certificate of Excellence in the Community Engagement Award and Caring for People Award categories.
